Daytona USA 2001 Circuit Pixie with Unicorn
84A quick run through of the course Circiuit Pixie from Daytona USA 2001 for the Dreamcast with the Unicorn car. This is played on the emulator DEMUL.
The stage is a very simple one. Like Three Seven Speedway it's an Oval, but unlike that course you don't need to brake or gear drift to get around any of the corners. The Unicorn Car however has got the second worst grip setting in the game, only being beaten by the Javelin, and will start going into a slide if you start steering too far either left or right even if you haven't gone anywhere near the brake. Like the Javelin, you need to steer it by making only the most minute of movements. So despite the fact this is a very, very simple circuit, getting to the end with this particular car and not spinning out and crashing can still be a bit on the tricky side. Because it's so easy to put the car into a slide, I've found that once you've started to take a racing line through a corner, if a CPU car gets in your way (like they invariably do, the pricks), you're generally better off just putting up with a small collision and a slight loss of speed than trying to suddenly correct your angle of steering and potentially putting the car into a slide you can't recover from.
