The two teens depart and go home. Well, at least Kaden does. Braxton is approaching home from the back. That's basically where they came from. He's at the edge of the backyard now. But he wants to look into the cube, one more time. Actually, he hasn't done it since the incident, but it feels like he's done it a thousand times. With only a little hesitation, he looks in. Only a little over 30 seconds and he feels ominous. The cube is doing something. Instead of the white void, it turns purple quickly, a transparent purple smoke releases from it as well. Braxton is admittedly frightened, but still hangs on to the cube. What is that? A voice? He hears a voice, but it's literally in his head. He's scared that he's developing a mental illness of some kind. The voice, however, is loud and clear. A whisper pushing away any other thoughts.
"Go deeper into the forest, something amazing is waiting down there. You should get to it."
Braxton, while fearful, thinks that he should follow the instructions. He has had the box for a while now. And he wants to keep it. He has grown a trust for it. He knows it's not the right. It's not smart to listen to it, maybe. This rises so many questions. But Braxton complies, first slowly, then he walks faster into the woods. Is he excited? Or is he anxious? Both? What will he find?
