Kaden asks about the cube, the box, whatever it is. The supposedly sacred object that his friend obsesses over. That's what it seems like. Braxton hesitates to tell him, but admits to randomly finding it and feeling a sense of fascination and amazement when he looks into it. Kaden doesn't understand and asks how. He's thinking Braxton has become psychotic or extremely stupid. Braxton doesn't really care to explain any further. He can't, really.
Kaden comments on the luminous white eyeball-looking shape on one of the sides. He also asks why it looks cracked, why it looks damaged. Braxton says it got that way later on. He theorizes that the people inside that horrible asylum were trying to destroy it.
"Can I look inside?" Kaden asks.
This question slams into Braxton's thoughts like a title wave. He never even thought about that. Braxton seems timid at first, he is protective over the cube. But Kaden is his friend. He should be able to trust him, even if he's a bit of a prick.
