Series Goals
- using a free-to-play account (F2P), make a F2P character that had good dps, decent self-healing and could solo or group as needed
Pros & Cons
- DPS is decent, even in epics
- Healing is okay for heroic normal and hard & epic normal
- Trap skills are decent for heroic normal, hard and elite (with max gear)
Improving the Character
- Tomes (Constitution, Intelligence & Strength, in that order)
- Best +X item for Constitution, Intelligence & Strength, in that order)
- Drow Khopesh of the Weapon Master; Ironwood Khopesh (honorable mention to Blade of the High Priestess & Sacrificial Dagger)
- Hide of the Goristro (+8 str dex or con OR +3 ins, +20hp, 10% melee alacrity
- Whisperchain (blurry, ghostly, 40hp, +3 sneak attack dmg, heightened awareness +4)
- Bracers of Twisting Shade (dd/search +17, blurry, +6 resistance)

Semi-tutorial series about the Tempest Trapmonkey build for new players. I didn't create this build, but I used it on my main character for her ranger life. I was impressed at how good it was. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE BUILD
- Dragonmark of Passage: +25% run speed & Dimension Door spell like ability
- Full trap skills: up to +30% experience point bonus for quests
- UMD (use magic device): for using scrolls like Invisibility and Heal
- Good DPS (damage): khopesh is best, but any slashing weapon is fine
- Some buffs: useful spells include Jump, Ram's Might, Resist Energy & Freedom of Movement
- Evasion: to mitigate some damage from spells and traps
- Wand whipping: heal with wands at low levels; potions are also an option
