The Nightmare is a Stealth/Slowdown/Teleportation Killer that focuses on deceiving and catching Survivors off guard, being able to be anywhere at any time. His power, Dream Demon, passively puts Survivors to sleep. While asleep, Survivors gain the Oblivious Status Effect until they wake up by failing a skill check, being woken up by another Survivor, or finding the furthest alarm clock. The Nightmare can also place down either Dream Snares which slows Survivors and forces them to scream, or Dream Pallets (with an add-on) which do not stun the Nightmare. The Nightmare also has Dream Projection which allows him to teleport to Generators, provided that they are not Completed Generators. The Nightmare's perks focus primarily on getting stronger towards the end of the trial. Fire Up is a perk that increases the speed of the Killer picking up and dropping Survivors; breaking Pallets, Breakable Walls, and Generators; and Vaulting Windows. Remember Me is a perk that increases the time required to open Exit Gates every time you injure the Obsession. Lastly, Blood Warden is a perk that reveals the Auras of Survivors inside the Exit Gates, and once per trial, blocks the Survivors from exiting from the Exit Gates for 60 seconds after hooking a Survivor while the Exit Gates are open.
