0It would be somewhat misleading to suggest that I'm terrible at fighting games, but that's only because to be terrible at something you must first at least have tried to get good at it and failed. During the 25+ years I've been interested in interactive entertainment, only a tiny fraction of the total gaming time has been spent with the fighting genre. Growing up I never had any gaming-inclined friends who were seriously invested in things like Street Fighter, and the arcane systems involved are such that you're not very likely to grasp even the basic mechanics on your own without being introduced by someone more experienced than you.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is the first installment in Team Ninja's respected but also controversial series to reach the PC platform, and for latecomers there's certainly a lot of content to discover in terms of characters, difficulty levels, unlockable costumes and the like. The port is bare-bones, currently lacks crucial online support and there's some offensively over-priced DLC on the game's Steam page, but the mid-priced base package is a pretty good deal and the gameplay is certainly fast-paced and dramatic enough to catch the attention even of a notorious fighting noob like myself. Oh, and there's a helpful option in the Settings menu for managing in-game breasts. Yes, you read that right...
