Debunking The Lie About ROTB Optimus Prime. So, a few days ago I made a video talking about the lengths Paramount Pictures will go. To make fans believe that Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts are prequels to the Bay films. And I pointed out that 1 of the things they used to convince them of this is giving him the retractable battle mask. And making his face look like 2007 Optimus Prime. And to my surprise I got a lot of pushbacks. Saying that it was to make Optimus look like his voice actor Peter Cullen. Which the director did say that he did for that reason. However, this was confirmed to be a lie. When asked if this was the case the lead VFX artist for ROTB said that despite what the director has said online, they never got that note from the studio or from him. The official note we received from Paramount was "make it look like Optimus from 2007". He even mentioned that the director referred to it as a โsoft prequelโ. Like I said. Paramount wants to convince casual viewers that these films are connected to the Bayverse when they clearly arenโt.
