In today's Ancient DOS Games filler video, Gemini's taking a look back at Defense Grid and Defense Grid 2, a pair of exceptionally well-made tower defence games developed by Hidden Path Entertainment, released in 2008 and 2014 respectively.

Despite their age, these remain two of the best games of the genre so this video is just a quick look back at them and their features, as well as a little backstory on how DG2 even came to be given that it technically didn't reach its Kickstarter goal!

* I've always wanted to make a tower defence game myself, but quite frankly, I doubt I could make one strong enough to be saleable given how tricky it is to get to that level of quality.
