Defense says Bolsonaro is “quite upset” with the trial

⚖ ️ Justice Power | Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) lawyer, Celso Vilardi, said this Wednesday (September 10, 2025) that the former president is "quite upset" with the progress of the trial in the STF (Supreme Federal Court). The Court is analyzing the accusation of attempted coup d'état in 2022. Today's session, the 4th in the case, began with a vote by Justice Luiz Fux.
"We spoke with him. He is quite upset, obviously. It couldn't be any different. And now, we will await this vote and then see how the trial continues," Vilardi stated. When asked what Bolsonaro had said, he summarized: "He is upset."
The statement was made before the start of the 4th day of the trial on the 2022 attempted coup d'état by the 1st Chamber of the STF. This Wednesday's session begins with a vote by Justice Luiz Fux. The reporting judge in the case, Alexandre de Moraes, voted to convict the group. He was followed by Justice Flávio Dino.
