After sampling most of the drugs in the doctor's office, our hero stumbles upstairs to what could be his office, where what might be a janitor is waiting inside. He shoots the might-be janitor, but not before having a drug-induced psychedelic crisis that results in hallucinations and death.
Our wayward hero ransacks the office and returns to peaceful Peoria Street where he has a violent reaction to the drugs he has taken, and he begins punching everyone in sight, including a woman. Due to the drugs, he is also plagued by the munchies, so he devours an envelope. When that fails to satisfy, he turns to cannibalism.
The thought of eating a human being reminds him that he has shamefully abandoned his quest to be eaten by a sewer alligator over and over; to take his mind off of the guilt, he resumes his therapeutic life of crime and breaks into a safe. At the very end, when it appears that the ill effects of the drugs have finally worn off, our dysfunctional hero experiences a reverse blackout, and everything turns white.
