We brought back to life a 10 year old computer and a 12 year old monitor! A Dell Optiplex 980 DT that was being recycled by an office, and an Acer AL2223w LCD monitor.



I snagged the i7 870 for $30 on eBay, and the GTX 1050 for $72. These aren't good buys at some prices, so don't overpay for a 1050 when you could get a GTX 1050ti for just a little more in most cases. I just got this because it was cheap and I wanted to try it out.
