I already own a digital version of the endearingly old school German PC RPG Drakensang but I've been wanting to get my hands on a boxed copy for quite some time. Naturally, when I saw 2 very cheap copies left in one of the major Swedish online game stores yesterday I ordered one of them immediately. While I was expecting some kind of ugly "Best Buy" variant for such a low price, the package which arrived in the mail still left me somewhat puzzled. From the look of it it's the standard edition box; except with no manual in it (I think the international/English version was originally released with an 80 pages manual included). So does that mean they somehow lost the manual while the game was rotting on a forgotten shelf somewhere, or did the publisher actually print a new set of identical-looking copies without manuals in them?

Either way, I'm not really complaining; this still feels like a pretty decent deal for less than 10 bucks and the box sure looks nice on my game shelf. There's just something about that decidedly generic high fantasy box art which makes me all warm and fuzzy inside...
