Despite reports that it was never ever in a thousand years going to be released in the West we DID get Yakuza 3 eventually, and now I'm really looking forward to checking out this massively popular Japanese action RPG/brawler and spiritual successor (sort of) to the beloved Shenmue series.
The (very vocal) Western fanbase got all hysterical when it was revealed that some of the content had been cut from the American/European release of the game, but given the low sales figures for the last two installments (admittedly thanks in no small part to Sega's epic marketing fail) I still think it's pretty cool that we're getting ANY version of this game at all...
(The CD in plastic cover contained the soundtrack for the game, and the extra sheet of paper behind the manual included a code to unlock free DLC).
