Demo: Dynamic data retrieval with Goals and parameters in Unreal
Are you interested in asking your Inworld character to dynamically retrieve data from an external data source in order and have them respond intelligently with their results?
In this Unreal Playgrounds example, we will walk through the YAML code in Inworld studio’s goals module and show how you can use entities as trigger parameters and have your inworld character make a request to Unreal to fetch data from an external REST API. Once received we’ll show how to send the data back to the character so they can report back their findings to the player.
