Addendum: To calculate the electrical generation of a solar panel at an angle to the sun you multiply by the sine of the angle between the plane of the panel and the incoming rays of sunlight. With the panels on eight way symmetry they form an octagon. Assuming the craft is oriented in a normal direction, the worst cast scenario occurs when one side of the octagon is directly facing the sun (go ahead and work it out yourself for other orientations). This makes the two panels to either side at 45 degrees to the sun, with all the remaining panels occluded. At this point, there was two rows of OX-STAT panels on the vessel, so that makes two panels directly facing the sun and four at 45 degrees. The OX-STATs generate 0.3 EC/s each, so the total generation would be 2*0.3+4*0.3*sin(45)=1.45 EC/s, as shown in the video.
