Interplay AD&D Rollenspiel, 1998 entwickelt. Descent to Undermountain verwendet (wie passend...) das gleiche Grafikengine wie der bekannte Shooter Descent, allerdings in einer geringeren Auflösung, was sich durch die teilweisen sehr groben Texturen bemerkbar macht.Das Intro lässt sich übrigens unter DOS Box leider nicht abspielen. Wie gut im Video zu sehen, ist die Steuerung recht schwammig, besonders, wenn man eine Leiter erklimmen will oder wenn man sich im Yawning Portal durch die Tischreihen quetschen möchte.Gut gefallen hat mir die gute Sprachausgabe und die Möglichkeit, selbst im Unterberg mit Gegnern viele Gespräche führen zu können. Die Geschichte wird durch die Missionen von Khelben und durch das Finden von Hinweisen über eine Drow Invasion interessant erzählt.

Descent to Undermountain used (how fitting ...) the same graphics engine as the popular shooter Descent, but with a lower resolution, which can be seen at the very rough textures ingame.The Intro doesnt play with DOS box unfortunately. Its good to see in the video that the controls are quite vague, especially if you want to climb a ladder or if you try to squeeze through the tables and chairs at the Yawning Portal Inn. I like the good voice acting and the ability to speak with many npc´s and creatures, even in the Undermountain. The story is good told with the missions of Khelben and the notes found in the Undermountain speaking of a drow invasion.
