Welcome everybody! To Let's Play Homeworld Deserts of Kharak! Part 20 Mission 12 on Classic difficulty, Torin Crater. I’m on a chase after the traitors from Sidim. Should have ex-pected this turn of events in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. Not only they destroyed a lander but now they are after Rachel and her team. Well then, I hope they have a big firepower support because as soon as I will arrive at the Torin Crater with my army I’m gonna wreck the whole place to dust. But for now we need to defend our position, on classic difficulty, with the little force we have, Rachel escort contains a few armored units, railguns and LAU. Soo this is back to old school at Torin Crater, just like in the beginning of Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. Railguns in back, armored n front, Rachel in middle. LAU on side in case they will have to rush and destroy railguns. I have splited the Torin Crater in to three phase fight. In phase one we need to defend Rachel position in the middle of Torin Crater at the destroyed Taiidan carrier from Homeworld 1. Oddly enough I think the Kushans didn’t know about the Taiidan till like middle of the campaign. Maybe a lack of knowledge in designer team of Homeworld Deserts of Kharak ? Thought I like the idea I can compare the scale of how big that unit is in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. It felt big back in Homeworld 1 but here in Torin Crater, this thing is HUGE! Anyway in Phase one we need to defend position, place your units next to the destroyed carrier for now enemy's will attack from north of Torin Crater. You should get attack by around 5-6 groups on classic. After that the Saakala will arrive, we don’t have the firepower to deal with it for now, orders are clear. Fall back to south of Torin Crater and regroup with the Kapisi. I think its is one of three missions in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak where You actually can witness arrival of Your own units on the battlefield. When You finial move Rachel in to position the Kapisi should show up with the light units. While our carrier was traveling to Torin Crater the engine turn red and we are unable to use the subs systems. Now on classic this maybe a issue, soo try not to use any subsystems unless you have to. Move the Kapisi to the left and lookout for cruise missiles the Saakala will launch, I wonder where they gathered all those resources in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak for this mission, not in Torin Crater that’s for sure. After a while our heavy units should arrive at Torin Crater. This is where the hard part starts and I think this was soo far the most difficult mission in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. Split Your forces in to three squads and move them to the ramps to secure the place. We took the uper-ground in Torin Crater soo defending those ramps should not be a problem. This is a mission when we have to use all the knowledge we gathered throughout Homeworld Deserts of Kharak. After securing the posi-tion, ramps and the artifact for the Kapisi start harvesting resources from Torin Crater and prepare a attack on the Saakala. There is only one way for traitors out of Torin Crater One more carrier on my list in Homeworld Deserts of Kharak.
