Destiny 2 (PC) [Gameplay #1]
0My plan for September was to play Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and maybe a little bit of Dragon Quest XI before the launch of Assassin's Creed Odyssey in early October. Starting a brand new Destiny 2 character (my first on PC), blazing through the same campaign I already finished on the PS4 and then tackling the story missions in all three DLCs in rapid succession - Curse of the Osiris, Warmind and the recently released Forsaken - was definitely not something I expected to spend 30+ hours doing this month.
While I've still not explored any of the end game content or truly multiplayer-oriented aspects of this online timesink of an RPG shooter, the expertly designed gunplay combined with stunning visuals and silk-smooth PC performance provided many intense and satisfying moments during this story-oriented playthrough.
D2 felt like a pretty lifeless experience during my original console-based experience of the game and I stopped playing right after the main campaign was over. But as the reviews of Forsaken pointed out there's just whole lot of more stuff to do in the game these days regardless of skill level and time investment.
