Destrega [PS1] - play as Zauber
This is a play-through using Zauber in the PS1 game Destrega. Read on below for more information...
Zauber is the penultimate character you fight in the game's Story mode. He is a regular playable character.
===== About Zauber =====
He is the main villain in the game's storyline. He obtained the most powerful piece of relic and restored the power to the other relic parts, and is using this power to try to take over the empire. Basically your typical megalomaniac. The game's Story mode does a good job of narrating the whole scenario.
Interestingly, his in-fight head/face appearance looks quite different to his portraits on the character select and statistics screens.
===== About Destrega =====
The game involves the player being able to run/roam around the arena, casting long-range spells/projectiles in order to defeat the opposition. There are many combinations of spell moves you can use, and you can also use them while jumping. Close-range fighting is more of a combo system, where it seems to be dependent who on gets to land the first hit.
If I were to describe the gameplay of Destrega, I would probably call it Psychic Force on the ground.
I think this is one of those games where the producers (Omega Force) tried to build a franchise from, because it's clear that they put a lot of effort into the storyline and character design. The game does feature a good singular story mode with voice-acting and cut-scenes using the in-fight models, but it is rather short.
