Developed and published by Red Candle Games, a Taiwanese independent video game development studio, Detention is a horrow adventure game which takes place during a very real and very scary time in Taiwanese history known as the "White Terror". You follow two students who are trapped in a school which is being tormented by evil spirits known as the "lingered". You must reveal the school's dark past and unveil it's secrets.

I wasn't expecting the twist this game gave me. There was one right at the beginning and one at the end. Your playable character isn't exactly what I expected and once credits rolled I questioned whether or not the ending was justified. Not in a bad way, mind you, this game was excellent. Atmospheric with unique visuals and a sad, tragic story which left thinking long after the game was completed.
