Devil May Cry 2: Opening
Let's make this clear. This is still the worst game in the Devil May Cry franchise. Still even more than Ninja Theory's DmC reboot. I've beaten this game before, though, but I wanted to play it again.
This was originally released on the PS2, and I still have my copy of it, but I'm playing the Nintendo Switch port of it, instead. This easily allows you to switch between Dante and Lucia's campaigns right as you boot up the game. I'm mostly just concerned with Dante, though, but I would love for Lucia to make a big comeback, somehow.
HOWEVER! Another reason why I decided not to ignore this game for YouTube is that its extremely shaky development was actually pretty important to allowing the franchise to continue beyond this game with better sequels, thanks to Hideaki Itsuno coming in late to this game to succeed Hideki Kamiya as the caretaker of this entire franchise.
I want you viewers to check out this video on DMC2 by Matt McMuscles to see how this worked out for the better:

----------
Dante returns in this game with a much quieter and more brooding personality compared to the lovable, wisecraking rogue that he was in the first game.
DMC2 was originally stated to take place after DMC4, but now it really does take place after DMC1 when DMC5 was released.
