Metroid Dread: Part 9: Exploring Ferenia / The Quiet Grappling With the Fate of Her Existence
9Going through a little bit more of Dairon to use a Teleportal to head back to Artaria. Thanks to the Speed Booster, I can go into more rooms.
This would eventually lead Samus to regain her Grapple Beam from another Chozo Statue. This allows her to latch onto to different objects, mainly blue ones such as doors, blocks, and boxes to either opening things up, tear them apart, or swing from them hanging on ceilings. This can also be used on the magnetic surfaces.
You can use the Grapple Beam to lead you to another elevator that leads you back to Dairon, where you can find more Grapple Beam objects to interact with. From the paths opened up, there, you'll find yet another elevator that takes you into a new region: Ferenia.

Shortly after entering the Ferenia's E.M.M.I. Zone, Samus observed some Chozo hieroglyphics. She recognized one of the Chozo on it as the one that attacked her, and this caused her free hand to suddenly flash.
Soon afterwards, she was confronted and stunned by yet another E.M.M.I., a purple one. She was bracing herself for another struggle...
But then... the E.M.M.I. suddenly stopped right in place. Someone else was coming...
It was another Chozo, but not one that approached Samus with malice. Rather, it was one that approached her with greetings.

Bringing her to another room, the Chozo introduced himself in his native language. He is called Quiet Robe, a scientist from the Thoha tribe of Chozo.
He also confirmed to Samus that the more malicious Chozo that attacked her before is named Raven Beak, and he's the powerful leader of the Chozo's Mawkin tribe.
Previously, the Thoha and the Mawkin teamed up to contain the Metroids on SR388 (the main setting of Metroid II/Samus Returns). They intended to destroy these Metroids by blowing up the planet, itself, after realizing how dangerous they've become.
Raven Beak attempted to stop this, however. He forced the Thoha tribe to bring the Metroids to ZDR, so he could use them as his bioweapon to rule the entire galaxy. With that plan, he murdered all of the Thoha except for Quiet Robe, himself, and brought him to ZDR on his own.
This whole plan was halted, however, when an X Parasite disguised as a Mawkin soldier also appeared on ZDR, infecting the rest of the Mawkin tribe and throwing ZDR into the brink of despair. Even then, Raven Beak was strong enough to contain them and continue his evil plan alone. Even this was further halted, however, after Samus hunted down all of the Metroids on SR388 (except for the baby that she took with off of the planet). It would seem that Raven Beak's plan for galactic conquest had entirely failed...
However... he discovered an addendum, and said addendum lied within Samus, herself.
Samus' actions in Metroid Fusion had eventually resulted in her body being infused with Metroid DNA. The reason the E.M.M.I. are all after her now... is because Raven Beak reprogrammed them to hunt down Samus and extract that Metroid DNA from within her body. He intends for this to be his final attempt at becoming a tyrant to the galaxy with an endless army of Metroids at his disposal.
Samus Aran, completely unphased by Quiet Robe's haunting words, spoke and replied to him in his own native Chozo language...
"Don't worry... I'll end this. Once and for all."
Those confident words brought a smile to Quiet Robe's face. He then assisted her on her quest by opening a new path for her in Berenia. He was counting on her not to fail this important mission.

And then, with one blast, Quiet Robe was struck down from behind...
The culprit was an Robot Chozo Soldier. At first, he's tough to fight, but once you figure out his attacks, you can bring him down easy.
After the fight, Samus could only look at the fallen Quiet Robe and grieve at her one Chozo ally's death. Now it was time for her to make sure it's not in vain.
A little bit further, and then it's time to head back to Ferenia. ADAM at least reassures to Samus that all of the remaining E.M.M.I. are still disabled by Quiet Robe, so she should be able to get to the surface without them in the way.
With the way those E.M.M.I. are being operated, Raven Beak must be watching Samus’ every move…
