Devil May Cry 2 Walkthrough Part 6: Chaos (FINAL BOSS FIGHTS & ENDING)
3After passing through the portal, Dante finds himself back in Uroboros Corporation's building but finds it completely submerged in demonic influence as Arius' ritual to summon Agrosax by opening the gateway to hell continues. After fighting his way through numerous demons within the building, Dante eventually makes his way into the ritual chamber where the ritual has entered its final stages, only for one of the artifacts, a coin known as Medaglia, to start acting up. To Arius' shock, Dante reveals that just before he handed him the artifacts during their earlier confrontation, he switched the Medaglia with his own mundane coin, ensuring that Arius' attempt to summon Agrosax will fail. Enraged with Dante's interference, Arius engages him in another fight, backed up by most powerful of his demons. However, despite this, Dante emerges victorious and, as Arius laments his defeat, claiming that he was to become the king of the world with Agrosax's power, Dante sardonically "crowns" him by shooting him through the head, causing him to fall to his death. With Arius dead and his plan to summon Agrosax seemingly stopped, Dante meets up with Lucia who claims that there is another issue to take care of with Arius dead before trying to provoke Dante into killing her, explaining that while ostensibly human, she is actually an artificial demon created by Arius to do his bidding once her true nature takes control. However, just then, portal to hell opens in front of them, revealing that despite Dante's intervention and Arius' death, partially completed summoning ritual managed to open the gates of hell. With no time to waste, Lucia volounteers to head into the portal and personally kill Agrosax before it can cross over, believing herself to be expendable due to her demonic nature. However, Dante suggests that they toss the coin in order to decide which of them will enter the portal, claiming that he will go if it lands on heads. Once it does, Dante stays true to his word and heads into the portal, giving Lucia his coin as an keepsake before passing through despite his chances of escaping hell even if he kills Agrosax being extremely small. Once on the other side of the portal, Dante is confronted by Agrosax The Chaos, a massive, blob-like demon made out of multiple demons Dante had slain during his journey through the island and engages it in an fight from which he emerges victorious. However, as its blob-like form falls apart, Agrosax assumes its true form, that of an androgynous, fire-clad humanoid which engages Dante in one final fight, although it fails to defeat him, ending up destroyed as Dante supercharges his handgun and shoots it. With Agrosax destroyed and another mission completed, Dante sets off to return back to the human world.
