Devil Spire is a roguelike dungeon crawler that's super intimidating at first (and still is for me, if I try to melee), but once you learn how all the enemies and bosses work, ranged combat isn't too bad. A lot of the systems are really cool, like crafting trash into different enhancement items and actually potent spells that can be cast by both you and your enemies. I know this is a really long completely uncommentated run that spends a lot of time in the inventory or walking slowly through the dark... but it's about the hardest thing to do in the game, except probably chaos mode but that doesn't have a distinct ending like this.

Final boss killed himself from reflect damage while I was blinded lol, so a bit of an anticlimactic end.

General plan for the run, playing ranged:
1. Start with high VIT and AGI so you can kite enemies and take some hits from the ones who do catch you, I also reset on Raider class for either Glaive or Musket.
2. Build some STR for quality of life being able to carry more gear, its unneeded for damage with this build though, then continue to build VIT and AGI. If you get a good spell (read: Blizzard) build enough INT to cast it, and then in late game you can dump more there.
3. Feed every weapon you get into your starter weapon to maintain durability, keep one around for breaking boxes and trading to the hole in the floor trying to get higher durability. Make an exception for if you rarely get a better ranged weapon that doesn't weigh more than you can comfortably carry.
4. Leave armor off except for bosses and endgame - no sense wasting durability on a few hits on early floors that won't kill you anyways (and if you died, you can just reset).
5. Get enough upgrade materials to keep pumping damage into your weapon, you want it to 1-2 shot most enemies so you can kill them before they get to you, but don't overdo it since the higher the damage the more durability it takes to fire.
6. Pick any really good powers from bosses, otherwise just take raw stats. Examples to take are invisibility (most powerful power), healing lamplight, dodge on reflex, and economy stuff like chance to regain items or abundant enemy loot. Return the pain is also worth a special mention, if you get it then you can just build armor and vitality and bosses will defeat themselves attacking you. Skip stuff you won't use, like kicking mastery.
7. Once you have good armor, a good weapon, and plenty of healing/debuff cleansing, just try to get to the exit of each floor without bothering to fully loot, you have enough to win already. I wasn't too good at fighting the urge to loot all the time, but you really don't need to after floor ~40 or so.
