Devour Asylum Map - Devour Update!
The Devour Asylum Map is finally here! And it does NOT disappoint! This new Devour update not only introduces a new nemesis, but it also introduces a whole new location that is so well designed and thought out that it's hard to find fault with it. And it is HARD. Very hard. Molly, who we met in the first Devour map, has been secretly whisked away to a psychiatric hospital where she undergoes electroshock therapy. While these treatments are definitely controversial, she seems to undergo some kind of psychotic break where she starts befriending rats. And by befriending, I mean, she tortures them. And if the legless, hairless, lifeless guy in the wheelchair is any kind of hint to who else is in the hospital, it's likely it wasn't just the rats she tortured.
You arrive in the Asylum through an elevator and during what appears to be quite the storm raging outside. Notes scattered around the Asylum explain what has happened to Molly and we meet the first of our "rolly" guys who presents us with a key to the main part of the Asylum. There's a roaring fire inside even though there appears to be no staff, no patients... no anyone. But one thing is for certain, this asylum has a rodent problem. There are rats literally everywhere in this place... except of course when you're trying to capture one. Then there's none to be found anywhere. Molly is found at the end of a dark, dimly lit, red stairway and she seems to be in a bad state. She's not really coherent and for whatever reason, despite being her "friends", we apparently decide to give her a dose of electroshock therapy. And she doesn't respond well. Because she disappears from the chair and from that point forward, hunts us down to make us pay. The game is only won when ten rats have been electrocuted.
So what else does this map bring? It brings a new robe and 25 new objects to find. These objects are "patches" which when put together, become a new robe style. It also comes with it's own set of achievements - if that's your thing.
