SCRIPT:
Today we are going to talk about devs speaking on Siege Info, Multiplayer
Balance, Health Regen & More.

- First we have the devs talking about the recent siege changes to balance
AI assault speed and overall siege balances.
Devs state that in the recent hotfix, AI and player now take 33% longer to set up a siege. Also that fortification advantage or defender advantage has gone up if the attackers have less siege built before they assault the fief. This also makes AI build up more and spend longer sieging a fief before they go for the assault. All these changes solved the AI speedrunning and partially solved overall snowballing.
Devs also state that the real solution to solve snowballing is the war and
peace algorithms and they will focus on this aspect for the game this week.
Great siege fixes and i cant wait to see the changes for war and peace,
hopefully it changes the problems that players have faced for a long time now.
- Second we have a player that states he has noticed armies with
significant advantage and numbers lose an assault on a fief to very small
numbers.
Devs state that this is good and that sometimes attackers should lose siege battles. Devs state that this happens rarely (between 5-10% of the time) and it affects gameplay positively.
I agree and i think its a good thing to have aswell. I think that if the AI is
taking huge loses, it should choose to retreat even if their numbers are bigger since they should not be able to tell what is waiting for them behind the gates during a siege with all the chaos occurring.
- Third we have a player asking if the 33% longer siege setup is for AI
only or for players aswell. Also asks how fortification bonus works exactly.
The devs state that it is for both player and AI and that depending on how
healthy your troops are, this process takes 0.5-1.5 in game days to set up.
Also fortification advantage is a bonus for the defenders at the auto
calculation phase of the game.
I agree with all changes and i didnt even know that you set up siege faster if
all your troops are all healed up. Also by auto calculation, i think the devs
mean before a siege occurs, game calculates the advantage given to defenders.
- Fourth we have a player asking about a re-balance to maces in multiplayer
and states that some are very fast swinging and some are super slow.
The devs reply and state that the speed of all weapons, including maces got readjusted after the changes were made to combat parameters and there should be less discrepancies in weapons of the same tier.
Devs also state they have analytics set up for all weapons and will be
monitoring the changes after the combat parameters patch goes live.
- Fifth we have a player asking about a certain quest called "court by
duel" that was taken out of the game on beta launch.
The devs state that the format of quests have been changed and that quests are now tied into the world, generated based on stuff happening in the world and they affect the world. Devs state this quest is outdated and wont be added back as is, but a new form of quest similar to "court by duel" can be added in the future.
- Sixth we have player asking how health regen works and if it is
daily or hourly in term of in game time.
The devs state that health regen value are daily, but are applied on an
hourly tick rate. So if you have a daily rate of 5, then every in game hour
you will regain 0.2 health. Also devs state to take this with a grain of
salt because they are not the devs who work on this aspect of the game.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes.
