DEVS Speak on Update Priorities, Banners & Multiplayer Info - Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Full Analysis of 1.4.3 Beta Patch (Video) - https://youtu.be/RGNIzzVCAVY
SCRIPT:
Today we are going to talk about devs speaking on the devs priorities, banners, multiplayer info and more.
Forum Link - https://bit.ly/2YQdTXh
- First we have a player asking about banners and when they will be
implemented into the game. (btw i think the player means banners that we can take into battle, not the ones on the world map.)
Devs state that banners are making a return at a later date. but are low
priority for the devs right now.
Understandable, while they look cool and would be epic to see an army with
a couple of banners riding into battle, i get why its low priority.
- Second we have a player responding to the previous dev statement and
asking what is high priority for the devs right now since the devs state
a lot of features are low priority.
The devs respond and state that stability, performance and missing mechanics and features are top priority. Devs also agree with me that while banners are pretty, they do not effect gameplay, so for the devs, its low priority.
Again understandable, the devs have stated multiple times that overall
performance and people being able to play the game is the most important
thing they are working on and that content that the community wants to see
like banners in this example will come later.
- Third we have a player asking if there is anyway to play the 1.4.3 beta
on the epic games launcher.
The devs respond and state that the epic games launcher does not have the same beta and live feature as steam does. Also that there should not be too much of a delay for players on the epic games launcher because the code refactor is done and there should not be a long delay between beta and live moves.
Unfortunate that this is the case, i think that the epic game launcher will
eventually have more features, but compared to steam, its a new thing and
has a lot to do to really compete.
- Fourth we have a player asking about multiplayer and if you will be
able to join multiple clans.
The devs respond and state no, you cannot be in multiple clans. Also devs
state that other requests and questions would be answered better after the
multiplayer patch comes out since nothing said right now is final and is
subject to change.
- Fifth we have two players asking the devs questions. First question
being "Can multiple parties from the same clan fight at the same time like
for example 10 parties from the same clan playing 5 different matches at the same time."
The devs respond and state that yes it can be done, but two condition must be met, first being to have a 6 person party and second all party members are in the same clan.
Second question being "Can siege be played in a clan with 10 people because right now you cannot do it."
The devs respond that unfortunately clan matches are only available for the
captain and skirmish game mods.
- Sixth we have a player asking the multiplayer devs if the combat
parameters update changes will also be implemented to singleplayer.
The devs state that most or 95% of the changes will also affect singleplayer, but it really only affects one on one encounters between units, so it wont be as noticeable in singleplayer.
Im excited for this because this will balance horsemen and buff certain
infantry and also a lot of other changes. For players wondering, the devs
stated that this patch is coming soon, so i predict in the next 2 weeks,
before the month ends.
- Seventh we have a player asking if the devs can provide some examples
of the changes from the previous dev statement. Also the player states that he read that the combat will be more fluid, responsive and dynamic.
The devs respond and state that they do not want to go into detail and that
all will be listed in the patch notes when the update comes out. Also devs
state that this update was community tested with community members and most of the changes were made by members and overall everyone was happy with the update.
Also in terms of changes, the devs state that cavalry gameplay was changed and that the rhythm of melee combat has changed quite a bit aswell.
Also devs state that a change log that is very long and explanatory will be
posted so modders can understand all the changes made in terms of code.
Great to see the devs want to be as transparent as possible and to work with the community to help make the game better. Cant wait for the changes.
Lastly i am going to end this video in the same way i ended most update
and dev talk videos, i want to thank the developers for staying active and
bringing good changes.
