DFFOO [GL][Lann & Reynn Event] Mostly just Vivi and Ace blowing things up without synergy
14Don't really upload a lot of GL fights and this one is relatively easy, but it is a good place to use Vivi so here it is. A change of pace, so reverted Vivi back to his original costume this time.
Added Agrias mostly for stunning purposes, though the support package + Ace's BT effect and CAs are mostly enough for everyone.
Vivi is really good here because:
1. Controllable consecutive turns to trigger more doomsday follow-up
You can use him to stall or just burst down something really quick
2. Full dmg AoE/Splash
Against 3 target you would need some help to do decent dmg if the attack is a split attack. It is doable (Like I already tried Y'shtola helping Golbez out, he is surprisingly potent here lol) but in general it is cleaner to just use mostly splash / 100% AoE
Since you either die when the manikins move or live, Vivi's HP drain is rarely an issue here.
Do note though, Vivi's follow-up is consider off-turn even though it happens after his turn. It is one of those attacks that can trigger in the next wave if you kill everything in the previous wave just before it happens. That's your proof that it is an off-turn attack.
Why does it matter? Well, it simply does not count into the required 850,000 total dmg for the orb to uptick lol. So either you have to fully invest in his armor, have another person's HA+ (such as Agrias/Y'shtola's) to increase the party HP dmg cap or have some kind of BT effect for him to meet the demand with his EX/LD.
Once you get rid of the orb with CoD friend and Ace, Vivi can come back and nuke the rest of it.
A tip regarding Agrias is that if WoL is dead and penelo's turn is coming up, you can just use Agrias's EX and silence her since Evanescence is a magic attack and Laima would focus on resummoning WoL instead of blowing you a kiss. So you can save a guaranteed stun / confusion when circumstances permit.
It is a hassle to record on the ipad and transfer the files, so I will just list the others interesting units:
Y'shtola + Golbez
- Golbez EX/LD upticks the orb, BT freezes BRV so you can ignore both manikins
Shantotto instead of Agrias
- less BRV/HP support but shreds through defence
Considered:
Eald'narche in place of Agrias + Cor
- because terror cheese on ALL manikins is fun
- a lot of DEF down
Zidane
- 0 mBRV cheese on manikins so you can care less about them lol
