DFFOO JP - Desch IW SHINRYU Demolished by Three 5/5 Ultima Weapon Dragoons!
So I had been holding onto my Providence Cores because if they ever add Sir Fratley to the game, I really want to run him and Freya side by side, each with their own MLB Ultima Weapon. However, since I've been using Kain a lot now with her, I figured I may as well get that second Ultima Spear now and max it out. I had to sell my Ultima Fists to expedite the process so Snow has to do without those for a little bit, but since they were only 0/5, it's not a huge difference.
Stage itself is pretty simple though. The biggest threat here is that the enemies will petrify a character for 1 turn if they take more than 7,000 BRV damage in a single BRV hit. However, they only attack single-target for most of the fight. This makes Snow perfect here because he takes 0 BRV damage against any attacks after taking 5 hits and the enemies don't do a lot of BRV damage to him early on so he can build it up easily, while keeping them locked on to him.
I just paced myself until their Force Gauge charged, then made sure Freya and Kain were in the air right before it charged, the Force Attack is an ALL attack and they would get petrified by taking too much BRV damage if it hit them. Snow shrugs it off though. Then I just let their Force Time expire while waiting for my own Force Gauge to charge and once it was charged, swapped out Snow for the Kain friend and did the usual setup with summon into Force Time into Kain Burst phase. Enemies were finished right after the BT phase, just as Force Time was about to expire.
Cater LDCA was a wasted slot here, should have been Leo LDCA as usual, I just was soloing the Lufenia with Freya right before this and forgot to change the LDCA back lol, otherwise this would have went by even faster.
