[DFFOO JP][A3C5P2 Lufenia+](LD only char run) Snow+ Paine+ Lenna ft Yda friend
Attached a clip at the end of far left configuration for Paine for comparison references.
CA:
Jack, Fran, Auron
Chars:
Lenna HA+1
Snow HA and still no arts lol
Paine HA+0
Orb: (15)
+2: ranged weakness Brv damage received
+8: presence of a 3 stack debuff when they act
Reduction:
70/90: (Brv Dmg/ Brv Gain)
I mean yeah, Paine + Lenna with whether left or middle configuration is pretty insane. Even when the call debuffs start to drop off, they still deal decent Brv damage and the HP dumps for Lenna and Snow are pretty much capped.
On the other hand the fist users are kind of bonkers as well. One good thing about calling Yda friend here is that she has 100% evasion rate after using Six-sided Star (her LD), so you can just spam away and do full 750k on each target every time. if you do it after a HP+++ attack breaking a target, the free consecutive turns nullifies the LD's high action delay as well so you can spam another one.
Both Paine (mid) and Snow reduces damage taken in different ways. Also with Lenna and Snow's new AoE HP regen, it is almost impossible to die in this stage unless something goes horribly wrong or the orb runs out.
This boss does not have an enormous amount of HP, but since the only things that is keeping the orbs alive are Fran's CA (stacks and range resist down) and Jack CA (stacks), the mission is running on quite a tight clock. This LD only team completed it with flying colours and almost no risk of dying, clocking in at around 11 mins and 30 turns.
Regarding Paine positional config With Snow and Lenna:
Before the call debuffs drop off, Snow's "counter" are pretty much doing marginally more with middle configuration, since it is mostly a matter of more overflow (left) vs more HP damage (middle) at that point. When you compare with the clip at the end when the debuffs starts to drop off, the Brv dmg drop is noticable but the final HP damage dealt is still maintained. So in terms of Snow, it looks marginally better to put Paine in the middle for the HP damage up for more than 1 enemy (more crucial if 3). Also, Lenna's transformed HP attack and LD hit considerably higher with middle config, so it may be a point for consideration since those attacks deal significant damage and you would want to maximize their limited usage as much as possible.
For tankier bosses (like A3C5P1 or some with 90/90 reduction) or if you need more Brv damage up for a different partner than Snow, it becomes case dependent and the left configuration may suit you more in general. Other factors for consideration includes overflow, mBrv for said character and whether they deal split / splash or full HP damage.
Bear in mind that none of my characters have max gear, Snow in particular is still at base HA with no arts, so he may need less overflow in practice when he gets some mBRV arts in the future.
