2005 was the start of the 7DRL challenge so it felt only fitting to begin with a roguelike from this year; partly because there was a game from that year that I was wondering about spotlighting in the Roguelike Steam Group but wasn't convinced of from the video I was watching.

The game incorporates elements of chess into how it works - the player being a King who can 'learn' attacks from the enemy pieces and the enemies being the other various chess pieces that appear. I personally feel it is a game that was interesting but needed a lot of tweaking to make it fun and enjoyable.
