Lucky Hit - Lucky hit is a chance for an on-hit effect to trigger with any attack. This can come from many different sources: skills, passives, items, and Legendary Aspects. Usually lucky hits will be conditional and the way it triggers will be specified on the aspect or gear.
Take this Druid perk for instance: Elemental Exposure which reads Lucky Hit: Your Storm Skills have up to 20% chance to make enemies vulnerable for 1 second.
So in order to trigger that effect now you must use a Storm skill. Lets say you attack with Storm Strike which has 25% Lucky hit chance. You must first proc lucky hit chance with 25% in which case you then have a 20% chance for elemental exposure to proc. This results in 20% chance within 25% resulting in a 5% chance to proc elemental exposure.
Critical strike - Critical strike is a regular damage stat in any game which grants a chance to amplify any damage based on your critical strike chance. In Diablo 4, critical strikes add a base of 50% bonus damage which can be increased by skills, passives, items, and Legendary Aspects. Increasing both your critical strike chance and your critical strike damage will be crucial to maximising your critical strike.
Vulnerable - Vulnerable is a status effect which can be applied to you or enemies which increases the damage taken when applied. Vulnerable damage has a base value of 20% which can be increased by items and paragon points. Certain skills can proc vulnerable onto enemies which is shown with a blue outline on enemy healthbars and cracking on your health globe.
Fortify - Fortify is damage reduction status which is built up from using certain skills and gear that grant fortify. As you use skills that fortify you build up your fortify meter. Once your fortify meter gets higher, you can become fortified. You become fortified when you have more fortify than current life and will take 10% reduced damage.
You can tell when your character becomes Fortified by looking at your health gauge in the bottom left. There are two thinner red lines surrounding the health gauge. These two lines represent your current Fortify status. When those two lines are closer to the top of the gauge than your overall health, you are classified as Fortified.
Overpower -
Overpower Damage is essentially an extra damage stat that players have a base 3% chance to inflict on an enemy. Other skills and passives can gurantee Overpower damage. Overpowering deals bonus damage based on the sum of your current life and fortified life. As a result, the higher your Life and Fortify stats are, the more powerful your Overpower Damage will be.
The colour of your combat damage text means different things. Yellow for critical strike, light blue for Overpower and Orange which is Overpower combined with Critical strike.
