Why does my aim seem weird? LOST ARK Cursor Aim
Cursor aim is designed so it helps characters lock onto enemies and attack.
Most of the time you want Cursor Aim OFF.
To change this setting you'll want to go to Settings - Gameplay - Controls and Display - Combat Settings - Cursor Aim
Here I've got cursor aim on at the moment and you can see here I've got direct line of sight to my target and I've positioned my cursor on the enemy, it shows a sword attack icon. If I position my cursor slightly above his head and the attack icon is still showing but the line of sight doesn't change. So if I shoot him, my skill will shoot straight at him, it doesn't matter which part of his body we aim at. Watch what happens if I turn cursor aim off. my skill shoots exactly where I want it to, which is what we want. You can see that if I was fighting 2 enemies and I want to shoot in between them or a mob and I aimed my cursor, there's a chance it might lock on to a random enemy and my skill shoots slightly off from where I want it to. Cursor aim might be advantageous if we only fight 1 enemy at a time, but this is Lost Ark. You're usually going to be fighting more than 1 enemy at a time except for raids.
This option doesn't make too much of a difference if you're a melee character as melee characters tend to have a lot of Area attack skills or single target skills will hit whoever is in front of you but it would matter if your melee character had a ranged ability like Shadow hunters and you can see how this option can get especially quite annoying for Gunners like the Gunslinger or Dead-eye.
