John Williams didn’t think he could handle the job of creating the score! John Williams is undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of all time and has created some of the most iconic scores for movies over his career including the likes of ‘Jurassic Park,’ ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Indiana Jones,’ but he wasn’t sure he could handle this. When he was shown a rough cut of the movie by director Steven Spielberg, he got so choked up he had to leave the room for several minutes before coming back to tell Spielberg that he needed to find a better composer for this film. Spielberg replied “I know, but they’re all dead.”
