There are a total of three different voice actors that will be appearing in roles in the show. Merle Dandridge will be returning as Marlene which she plays in the video game. Ashley Johnson will be joining the cast, and she played Ellie Williams in each of the games. Finally, Jeffrey Pierce will be playing Joel’s brother, Tommy, but in the video game, he plays Perry instead. Originally, Maisie Williams was in talks to play Ellie, but after the series was announced to be restarted as a television series by Sony and HBO, all confirmations were put under wrap until the trailer came out.
