The suits were a big hurdle for the cast. The weight of the suits alone was 140 pounds, and they had to be airtight for the underwater scenes. Because of this, it was extremely difficult for them to hear any directions that the director was trying to give them. Also, the crew knew that they created an interesting dynamic in the beginning when Norah loses her glasses while running. After this, Norah has to continue with poor vision, but this wasn’t always the plan. They had initially wanted her to have glasses throughout the film, but after considering the hassle it would be to use them inside the suits and the future action scenes, they decided to get rid of them early on.
