0And so it begins, dear gamers. The first of two final walkthroughs i'll upload on this channel before the end of the year. The game in question is Dino Crisis, a survival horror game notable for introducing extremely unique type of enemy; Dinosaurs. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
About Game: Dino Crisis is 1999 third-person survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for Sony PlayStation, Sega Dreamcast and Windows-based PCs. It was developed by the same team who worked on Resident Evil games with this game's gameplay style that is extremely evocative of the original PS1 trilogy of Resident Evil, RE 2 and RE: Nemesis being compared to those three games, ultimately resulting in some reviewers calling Dino Crisis "Resident Evil with dinosaurs." Upon release, Dino Crisis was met with positive reception, noted high points being intensive atmosphere and matching combat as well as graphics with the game managing to sell 300,000 copies in Japan shortly after release, making it one of the best-selling games in Japan during mid-July 1999, those numbers ultimately translating into over 2 million copies sold worldwide. However, Dreamcast and PC ports released a year later were criticized for failing to enhance the game for superior hardware. Despite this, Dino Crisis' overall success was great enough to let it spawn two mainline sequels in 2000 and 2003 respectively and a LightGun shooter spin-off in 2002 with no new games in the series being released since 2003.
Story of the game is set in the year 2009 and follows Regina, an agent of the US military organization called Secret Operation Raid Team (SORT) as she is sent to an island called Ibis Island alongside three other agents to capture Edward Kirk, an energy researcher who was presumed dead for three years and is working on an unknown project within the island's facility. However, upon landing, agents quickly discover that the island is inexplicably swarming with a large population of dinosaurs who also breached the facility, brutally massacring any personnel they encountered. As agents separate to try and restore the facility's power and communications, Regina is separated from her partner named Gail when he is attacked while she was reseting the generator. Now with only one of her collegues named Rick still confirmed as alive, Regina heads into the dinosaur-infested facility in order to finish her mission by finding Kirk and more importantly, try to escape alive...
