In this Let's Play video, you will see me play the new Campaign Mode of Diplomacy Is Not An Option ( Version 1.0 Full Release). The Campaign has multiple branching options making it very replayable for multiple endings with different scenarios. In this episode, we decided to join the Sarranga Tribe on the new continent. We were presented with an alternative map mission instead of fighting the Sarranga natives. The new campaign map added a lot of interesting dynamics to the game with Droughts and Rituals. During droughts, food production workers stop working, which requires you to hunt the Bugs on the map for food. During Rituals, all workers stop working and you must fight a Ritual Boss (Messengers of the Gods) which will reward you resources at the end of the Ritual (that last for a day). The Nightmare Generals were very hard to beat but we figured out how to defeat it with a good old fashion World of Warcraft style Raid Boss fight mechanic. We used the Sarranga's Mighty One unit as the Tank with a ton of healers (Priestess) and range attack units.
This game is a Survival City Builder, Real Time Strategy, Base Building, and Tower Defense game all rolled into one. This game is a mix of various genre with mechanics that are familiar in many popular games. You'll get "They Are Billions", "Stronghold", "Age of Darkness: The Last Stand", and "Cataclismo" vibes from the playing the base building defense missions. You are the Lord and must defend your Keep against waves of mobs attacking your city. Gather Resources quickly, Build up your Wall Defenses and Train your Army before the Wave arrives. Each Mission will have a certain number of waves. Clear out the Camps around the Map or they will join the final wave. Collect mana crystals so you can use them to cast spells. It's very similar to "They Are Billions", "Stronghold", and "Age of Empires". Build up your resources and mass some units to defend against waves of horde attacks.
