"Dirty Racing" for Game Boy is a 2D overhead Grand Prix racing game developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Jaleco, released exclusively in Japan in 1993. It was also released as part of the compilation title "Race Days" containing this title and "Jeep Jamboree: Off Road Adventure", released exclusively in North America.

Dirty Racing has an overworld map, where players can choose which event to participate in. Each event has several races, and each race yields points depending on which position the players finishes the race. Four cars are participating in each race, including the player. The racer with the most points at the end of the event wins it. If the player finishes all events at the top, the last big event becomes available, consisting of a total of nine races.

The game has three difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, and Hard. At the shopping cut scene, players can purchase tires along with engine upgrades, acceleration boosts and nitros for the racing car. Any damage to the car can also be repaired. As is commong in racing games, obstacles must be avoided and opponents must be overtaken in each race. Tracks have slippery spots and spots which slows the car down. Parts of the track's walls can also be lit up, and if rammed, a random thing will happen. This can repair the car, give it a speed boost, stop the opponent cars for a while or warp the player. The warp is not always a welcome one, it can just as well warp the player backwars in the race.

Overall, Dirty Racing is an enjoyable racing game, with its overworld map, clear graphids, upgrade system and multiplayer support. The wall-ramming with the random yields is always exciting since they can be both positive and negative, and can change the race quite dramatically. Recommended for fans of 2D overhead racing games.
