Block of Text Time:
My loyal connoisseurs, for 2025's second YouTube Video Theme: Devolver Digital. They're one of my favorite publishers, have been since I got my hands on Enter the Gungeon, and I usually play at least one (if not more) of their games every year. I was originally planning on doing something that had been released more recently... but Stick it to the Stickman got so many delays 😭 , so I went with an easy to digest, sleeper pick from their catalogue. Disc Room.

I say that like I actually thought of a lineup of games first, but truthfully, I've had Disc Room in mind for over a year. Maybe two. It's a very simple game, so it was easy for me to fantasize restarting my YouTube career covering it. "I'll do a video on Disc Room. That's how I'll get things started up again", I'd say to myself. It never happened like that 😅 . In fact, Marvel SNAP may be the complete opposite of Disc Room, lol. But I'm still happy with how my return, and this particular video, turned out.

Disc Room is genuinely a good game! It's perfect mind fodder. Plays great even when you're invested in a podcast or TV show at the same time. It's at its best when you can fully LOCK IN, but casually playing (like to procrastinate) is real nice, paha. The video might oversell it a little bit, but when it goes on sale for only a few bucks, I mean come ON man. Just GAME!

I thought I'd have published a week earlier, but it's still technically... ON TIME. I'm shooting for 12 videos this year, so I have to EVENTUALLY make up for January... and I'm on the right track. Literally. I give myself a calculated "productivity score" for every work period during a video. Marvel SNAP was 61%. Deathloop was down to 33% (hence its lateness). I'm back up to 55%, AND I published one day early: Day 29 of 30. Gonna try and get my score up to 60% for the next one. Constant improvement. Gaming life. Maybe we'll publish even sooner. Time will tell!

Thanks again for all your support. I wish I could say I'm in a better state mentally but life has been so exhausting lately, and I have this terrible terrible lingering lonely dreadfulness. Life at (basically) 30 is not anything I thought it would be. Friends? Wish we had more time together. Stable job? Sure, but I'm practically always a half-paycheck away from losing my house and everything in it. People say "WOW you're SO LUcKY to afford a house." Bro, I am minutes away from my own destruction. By the skin of my teeth I "own" this thing. One inconvenience and I kid you not, it's all over. But I can dream and I can hope. And by God, I can use these dumb video making talents in an attempt to desperately recapture control of life... before it's too late to do so.

So Thanks :) You being here enables the dream. Keeps the flame burning, passion roaring. Life worth living. To see it through. This channel will be successful. I owe YOU. If you made it this far, send me fan art/mail through my website https://thenamebrand.co/
