Story time.
I honestly quit making videos. But I got a spark of inspiration which came at the right time, right place. The only problem: Scope creep. I thought, eh, 35 minute video, just double my norm. Well, we're on day 70 of production on this thing, and I'm tired. At least 50 hours of blood sweat and tears, between my ever constricting schedule and life responsibilities. But I persisted. Worked a little every day. Sometimes just once or twice a week. Some days, I hated what I was making. Wanted to quit. But kept on. Deleted a lot. Persisted. This video, IMO is kind of a poor end product and the new bottom. I've gained a massive wealth of knowledge about the new video editor, and am finding my footing again. It was a mistake to do a live service game -- SNAP has gone through 3 seasons worth of content since I began this journey. This, not to mention, I know the devs will change how the game works in the future and this will make my video factually irrelevant at that point. But it will always be video that taught me much. I'm a bit afraid of critiques that will be made on this. One reason I may get some flack is because Pokemon TCG Pocket became extremely popular during the first few weeks of me producing this video, and is a compelling game in its own ways (though, I still prefer SNAP). I think I may also attract existing SNAP players who will not enjoy my positivity surrounding the current game systems, as I know there are many who LAMENT how card acquisition works, or whatever else and claim "dEaD gAmE". I don't care. If you're normal and just play casually, it's an incredible game, perfectly balanced, and consistently new and fun. The no lifes wouldn't understand that. But thus is the way of it. Let them find me and feed the algorithm my name. I mean, at the end of the day, I had less than a handful of people in mind when I made this video and their viewership is enough :) I hope it helps inspire even just one of those to play. For what it's worth, I think it would be a really fun game for any of them. You might be able to tell as much, by how I structured this video. And at the end of it all, I know that this video ain't doing numbers by any means. But it still is the one that marks the beginning of this new NameBrand chapter... Next video will be capped around 15 minutes. It will release around JANUARY23rd. As it was written. Thank you.
