Discussing Disability Pride Month
0The month of July has a monthlong celebration that is similar to LGBTQ+ Pride Month in June called Disability Pride Month, a celebration in which we recognize the efforts and successes of those fighting for inclusion and equality for people with disabilities. It's not as heavily recognized as LGBTQ+ Pride Month is, but it is still a very important month as people with disabilities are also trying to make inroads to help create a more equal society for those struggling to live a successful independent life. For this video, I will be discussing Disability Pride Month and its importance, and why I think we should do everything possible to help those with disabilities reach their fullest potential.
