Disgaea 5 - Maximizing Your Time in Item World
260If you know practically anything about Disgaea, then you most likely know you'll spend time in item world and odds are it will be a lot of time. Between getting the best weapons, increasing gear rarity, collecting innocents and more, item world is one of the best ways to make your team overpowered and arguably the most enjoyable way to do it. With that being said, doing things in item world can be a slog if you go about them the wrong way, so this video is about maximizing your time.
1) Sage's Land Decimator attack can kill everything on the board in a single attack, so constantly use it.
2) Collect fish, level orbs and such to maximize leveling.
3) Item World powers up based off level/floors cleared, not depth, so you can skip 100 floors to farm unique innocents, upgraded gear and get duplicates of existing gear. Whats great about whats shown in the video is that you can easily get multiples of top tier weapons, which don't have rarity below legendary, by simply skipping to the end and fighting a weaker item god. You can also get the next tier like this, though I believe the item level must be above 80 or be +80 or more for it to appear.
4) ALWAYS plan for lucky breaks. In the three times I did it this way I got the duplication and legendary weapon room twice. Don't say that minute or two to get your gear isn't worth it, since I would gladly trade a minute to get a good duplicate item.
5) Do not leave when fighting the item god. You can only get a unique innocent the first time you face them, so leaving forfeits that.
6) Unless you want to farm innocents, stick on the secret room route. Most secret rooms give a training bonus, which increases item rarity, resulting in a better quality weapon. This also boosts your chance to get another legendary weapon or duplicate the item you're in.
7) Even if you don't have the power to skip to 100 or simply lack the resources, skipping 10 floors will let you change the route giving you a slight edge over doing 10 normal floors.
8) Always think of the risk when doing something. Getting Mr. Egg to come 10 times might sound great, but that increases your chances of getting in a situation you can't handle. The hot springs can badly damage you. The fortune shop can take levels away. Certain stages are just way too risky to bother with. And you get the idea.
