Dishonored - Lady Boyle's last party
15This video features the fourth main mission from Dishonored, "Lady Boyle's last party". Note that I skipped most of the exploring of the area and the hunt for collectables in order to give the video a reasonable lenght. Also, be mindful that Dishonored allows the player a great freedom when it comes to clear the various objectives: there may be other ways to accomplish the level's goals which I didn't bother to use.
The party at Boyle's estate is arguably one of the most relaxed mission of Dishonored. Your mission here takes place mainly in a neutral area where no one will attack you on sight if you won't make yourself too suspicious.
If you decide to face lord Shaw in a duel as a side quest for lord Pendleton, you must be very careful: unless you'll wait the count to three and stay on your mark, you will be considered spotted and find yourself chased by the estate's guards, with all NPCs on allert. On the other hand, abiding to the duel's rules won't cause any reaction to the two guards attending.
While the party is being hosted by the three Boyle sisters, you only need to deal with one and your target changes in each playthrough (basically, each time you get to eliminate a different sister dressed in a different color). Finding clues to identify your target is remarkably easy: speaking with both miss White and lord Brisby will give you plenty of directions without the risk of going upstairs (which is a restricted area, meaning the guards won't tolerate your presence) and find clues yourself (althought even that is very easy to accomplish, with plenty of way to bypass the security and the general lack of guards when you get there). If you discover your target's name you can talk to her and try to get you both in a private place, which is very handy if you are planning a ghost run. Esma is the best sister in this regard: she will lead you in her private bedroom (and thus you won't be considered as a trespasser), where is pretty simple to either kill or incapacitate her without anyone being the wiser. Waverly and Lydia will also accompany you in private rooms downstairs, but said rooms are more exposed.
As with all the major targets in Dishonored, you are given the choice to either kill lady Boyle outright or attempt a different, more complex solution to the problem. In this mission said solution is offered by lord Brisby, whom you can meet at the party. He will reveal to you he knows who you are and what you intend to do, and offers a deal of some sort: since he loves lady Boyle so much he's willing to take her way forever and make her (basically) his own sex slave till death. After proposing you this solution, Brisby will move in the kitchen's storage and wait for the unconscious lady Boyle to be delivered to him before taking off on a boat.
Lord Brisby's request may be one of the hardest non-lethal target elimination you can task yourself with in Dishonored. The difficulty comes from the fact that, regardless where you incapacitated lady Boyle, you must carry her to Brisby over a great distance with a huge crowds of NPCs and guards standing in your way (and among them some overseers who carry a device that can tamper with your powers). If you didn't invest that much in the slow time power you are far better off just killing the woman
