Dissecting Design -- The Legacy of Starcraft
For this week's Dissecting Design, I took on one of the most famous games of all time: Starcraft. I talked about how Blizzard created a unique game full of asymmetrical balance that became popular for its story and esports design. Unfortunately, talking about Starcraft and playing it well at the same time was harder than I thought.
I also talked about the limitations of Starcraft's design due to its focus on esport high level play.
