Diving Into Hades II On Launch Night (Hell of a Sixth Run)
It's Hades II! It just came out so I decided to play a whole bunch of it on launch night. I loved the first Hades (it was my 2020 GOTY) so I have been really excited for Hades II to finally come out of early access and also onto the Switch 2 which I prefer to play it on versus PC for a bunch of obvious reasons. So far, it's really good! I got in 6 runs and started a 7th one because I could not resist and goddamn I went some places.
Game seems really good! Like the first game upgrade systems keep unlocking one after the other and it always feels like you have something new to mess around with for your next run, something to keep it fresh and keep you going. The story and world building also help to that end, plus it's just very fun to play. I'll say I'm pretty sure the game is a lot bigger than what I've seen so far and there's a lot more to unlock but judging from what I've seen so far I'm in for a damn good time.
Had a lot of fun tonight, will be continuing this in my free time. I don't want to schedule out every time I play this game and deal with the overhead of making it all content. This is enough! Also, I think it's pretty good especially that sixth run. Especially that sixth run. Don't run into steam!
