Here's my first ever DIY Litecoin mining rig that does 2.6Mh/s at 880Kh/s each with 3 Sapphire Radeon R9 290X graphic controllers.

Each R9 290X are overclocked at 920Mhz for GPU, 1500Mhz for memory, this setup is probably one of the fastest Litecoin mining rigs on the market "right now". It can do 4K and 3D videos 3 times faster than most high-end graphic cards put together. It also makes gaming super, duper fast, can be fun setup for gaming PC, probably does loops around Xbox One or PS4 all day long.

This machine can make a little over 1 Litecoin per day. Not great but not baaaad.

My cgminer config:
