After returning to Phandalin for a brief reprieve of trade and resupply, our heroes set their sights on a dark mystery buried beneath the town itself. Venturing into a hidden cellar behind The Sleeping Giant tavern, the party unearthed a long forgotten tunnel system sprawling under the earth. But what they found wasn't just stone and silence.
A feral quaggoth awaited them in the dark but it was no mere beast. Something far worse lurked inside, a ravenous intellect devourer. The creature burst forth upon its host’s death, and in a horrifying turn, it took one of their own. Chuck now lies unconscious his mind under siege. The devourer is slain but time is running out.
Can the party save their fallen companion before it’s too late? Or has Phandalin already begun to fall to a greater darkness?
