As our heroes pressed further into the shadowy tunnels beneath Phandalin, danger and madness loomed at every turn. At a second intersection, they encountered a slumbering Behir only narrowly avoiding its wrath by clearing out a nest of Grells nearby. Among their bodies they uncovered the lost pack of Thorgran, a trailblazer who ventured here before them, along with cryptic notes hinting at a dark city below, Illithnoch.
Deeper still, a third intersection revealed a grotesque cavern of mud, flesh, and madness. Gibbering Mouthers surged from the mire, but the adventurers triumphed over them, scarred, but alive. Now, as they stand on the threshold beyond the mouther den, a new and unspeakable horror stirs in the dark.
