Galen Strawson is a professor of philosophy at Reading and one of the UK’s leading public intellectuals. His original work on free will and the self has been widely influential.

Massimo Pigliucci is an author, blogger, podcaster, as well as the K.D. Irani Professor of Philosophy at the City College of New York. His most recent book is entitled The Quest for Character: What the Story of Socrates and Alcibiades Teaches Us about Our Search for Good Leaders.

Sarah Garfinkel is a British neuroscientist and Professor at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Science, where she leads the group on Clinical and Affective Neuroscience. Her research concentrates on the links between interception, emotion and memory. She has written several articles and contributed to numerous academic journals.

More recently, she has delivered a TED Talk entitled the Science in our Hearts and Minds and has posted several videos for the Dissenter. She is the esteemed recipient of the British Association for Cognitive Neuroscience Career Award 2021.
